I Didn’t Want to Do Payroll Myself

When I started my own shop several years ago, I thought I would be able to handle everything on my own. I quickly found out that was simply not the case. When I hired two part time workers, I knew that I had to contact a company that handles payroll services in Bristol because I simply did not understand the process of payroll at all. I thought I would be able to find a program to help me, but there are just too many variables with it to trust a program when I know nothing about payroll in the first place.

I decided to start researching companies so I could find one that would be able to help me with this aspect of my business. I found quite a few in my region, but I didn’t want to just pick the one that was the closest to me. I wanted to pick the one that has the best reputation as well as a history in the community. I also wanted one that would be able to handle my payroll needs should I ever hit the big time and have more than a handful of employees helping me.

Once I found the company that I knew I was going to use, I looked at their payroll procedures. I was very happy to see that they handle every bit of the taxes and other deductions. That is the main thing that confused me, and I absolutely did not want to handle that on my own and mess it up. If it was just me involved, that would be one thing. It would be my employees who would also have to pay the price if I mess up on their wages though, which is why I put all of this in the hands of payroll professionals.
